My name is Jeff Wall, I'm a solo acoustic musician, much in the same vein as Todd Snider, John Prine, Rodney Carrington, or Tim Wilson, and I would like to come play music for you. I can give you several hours of all originals, all covers, or a mix of originals and covers. My background is Bluegrass and Honky-Tonk. I can easily play a super clean, Baptist Preacher friendly set or I can play a more adult oriented humorous set. I love to tell stories between songs and make people laugh.
I have all the necessary sound equipment, I've had all my shots, I am mostly house-broken, I don't drink, I am very easy to work with, and I come with references. I would love the opportunity to come and entertain you and your guests, put a smile on everyone's face, and hopefully be able to continue to chase my lifelong dream of not starving to death.

BIO -100 Words
Singer-Songwriter, Storyteller, and now Author, Jeff Wall is an exceptionally large, and darkly hilarious entertainer; one large of size and stature, as well as of character and heart. Residing in the Winston-Salem, NC area, at 6’7”, and somewhere around 350lbs, he’s darn sure big; a cigar smoking, bib overall wearing, Yeti-like, bear of a man. A solo acoustic performer with a background in Bluegrass abd Roots music, he provides a much needed voice for the old, fat, grumpy, arthritic, can't seem to get laid anymore, and don’t really care, “Hey, you kids get the hell off of my lawn” audience.

Singer-Songwriter and Storyteller Jeff Wall is a Bigdumbhick, at least that is what he’s been told most of his life. It’s not really true, it is a name drenched in irony. Yes, there is no doubt that he is big and Yeti looking, but he is definitely not as dumb as he might initially appear to be. As to being a Hick, well that’s subjective.
Living in the Winston-Salem/Triad region of North Carolina, at 6’7”, and somewhere around 350lbs, he’s not just big, he is damn big. Usually found wearing Round-House bib-overalls, he is a cigar-smoking, wise-cracking, bad-ass, acoustic guitar-slinger, and a hilarious entertainer to boot. He is a man of many surprises. His show is unlike anything you have ever experienced, and it is nothing like you would expect, especially from anyone who looks like he looks. There is a lot of heart here. There is a lot of everything here.
With a background in Bluegrass and Traditional Country Music, he lays down a groove that could break your grandma’s hip. He is a fearless, natural performer, one with a penchant for writing catchy, darkly humorous, yet easily relatable songs that particularly resonate with those of an age who should be paying much closer attention to their cholesterol levels. One moment he will have you grooving along, howling with laughter, but then unexpectedly he will hit you with something extremely personal, raw, deep, and moving, causing your jaw, and occasionally even a few tears to hit the ground.
What you see is what you get. This is who he is. There is no pretense, no posturing, no bullshit. Well, maybe a little bullshit, but he is real. He is what he is and he ain’t ashamed of it.

Jeff Wall is the Bigdumbhick, a solo acoustic singer-songwriter, storyteller from the Piedmont area of North Carolina. At 6’7” and somewhere around 350lbs, it is easy to understand the “Big” part. The “Dumb” part is easy too. Look at him, he just looks dumb. Big and Dumb, just the way your Mama likes them. He looks like Lennie Small with a tiny guitar in his hands, but he knows who Lennie Small is and you’re probably going to have to go look that up, so maybe he’s not as dumb as he might initially appear. Nobody could be that dumb.
At 18, he left Middle Tennessee in order to find someone to date that he wasn’t kin to, and he ended up spending the next 20 years in the US Navy traveling the world and perfecting the ability to sleep absolutely anywhere. He taught himself how to play guitar while at sea in the Navy, and received his advanced musical training around campfires at Bluegrass Festivals across the country.
He has read a bunch of books. He has met, broken bread, and played music with people from just about every imaginable point of the political, religious, and social spectrum. He is not nearly as “Dumb” or as “Hick” as he might try to lead you to believe.
Upon retiring from the Navy, he settled in North Carolina where he would continue to play music at every possible opportunity. In his mid 50’s, Looking at the current health of the music industry, he noticed that the old, fat, grumpy, arthritic, can't seem to get laid anymore, and don’t really care, “Hey, you kids get the hell off of my lawn” audience was being largely ignored and was sorely under-represented. If he started songs for these people, he could soon be raking in the big money.
… Ok, so maybe he has earned that “Dumb” part of his handle honestly.
Somehow, for reasons neither his wife nor mother can possibly fathom, it has all seemed to work out. He is an incredibly unique, gifted, and darkly hilarious performer. He has a right hand that lays down a groove that your grandmother could break a hip to. His sardonic, self-deprecating use of humor serves as a the perfect candy coating to help to make the dark and bitter pill of human existence just a bit easier for us all to swallow. One moment he might have an audience crying with laughter, and then completely unexpectedly he might hit them with something extremely raw and personal, and once again cause eyes to well up with tears - this time for a completely different reason.
While, he is funny, but he’s not just a novelty act, he’s a seriously talented musician.
He is authentic (whatever that means) This is not a stage persona. This is not an act. What you see is what you get. There's no pretense, no posturing, no bullshit. Well, maybe a little bullshit, but still, he’s real. He is what he is and he ain’t ashamed of it.
